I wasn't sure this was the right thing to do. Big Trout is a secret of ours. We have been going there for over 25 years now, and still don't have seniority on the time frame we are allowed there. You see, there are only a few cabins, and others have several generations of people ahead of us on the listings. A paradise? Sure! You get cold running water, a flush toilet, and no shower...the lake is for that, and a waiting list to go there.
The place is a time warp. Essentially the same every year since the thirties and forties...way before my time. We only get two weeks there. You look at the pictures and the directory, and decide for yourself. Shhh! Don't tell anybody about it, and notice I didn't tell you how to get there or how to contact anyone!
These are mostly from 2002 fall when Susie and I took a spur of the moment trip and went there. No one was there but Bob and Marilyn, and most things were packed for the winter. It is a delicious memory.
