Kelly, my niece, is Linda's daughter.  She is the sister of Brian and lives in Portland, Oregon, where she is a chemical engineer for Intel (they make the chips that are probably powering your computer).  Her husband is Mark, and Cody is her dog.  Mark is also at Intel.  Mark and Kelly are now married since the start of these pictures, so "Significant Other" is taking on new meaning.

The Rose Festival Court. Each high school in Portland nominates one
girl to be on the court. It's pretty cute. They've been doing this for
about 80 years.

Dog Mountain Hike. The hike is called Dog Mountain and it is about 30 minutes outside of Portland, across the Columbia River in Washington. The trail goes through forest mainly--it is about 3.3 miles and 2800 foot elevation gain, so it was pretty tough!
