I usually ride the recumbent. I started with uprights, own a number of
them. I changed to the recumbent after Brad tired of riding the tandem
with me for over 10 years. Susie rides the tandem with me now.
Lightning Cycles makes great recumbents. I started with my
P-38, and still
ride it on long tours. The racy, lighter, and pricey
carbon fiber R-84 is my
favorite. Recumbents are very comfortable, and long legged, but
remember...you can't stand up on hills!
Other pictures of biking exploits. Some from

The bike is hollow, somewhat noisy. Very light weight at 19 lbs. |

Fast on flats and downs. Less wind resistance. |

You use the same muscles for climbing. The spinoff in the rain can be brutal. |

Wynot, NE. The jump off of the big push to Yankton. I drink the soda. Beer turns my legs to mush. |

The most excitement Wynot had seen in a long time. Also, the strangest clothing. |

I turn the brats. Cool days of Fall, hot brats with sauerkraut after an afternoon ride. |

Tradition to ride to start. Lunch at Hawarden. The tradition was over 100 miles that day, hot and humid. How "RocketMan" got named. Behind in middle. See LAN party. |

Being late has advantages, like a 'honeymoon' table by the fireplace in the corner with nice fresh lilacs; or were they afraid of the 'bikers'. |
